URGENT UPDATE - 20 April
Dear Parents and Youth Members,
With the start of the cricket season, we have just received the latest ECB updates and this has some significant consequences for our first few Friday night training sessions.
Unfortunately, only 1 parent or guardian per child (plus any dependent children) is allowed to attend the sessions and all attendees will need to observe strict social distancing requirements and the rule of 6 applies. No other spectators or guest are allowed to attend.
Consequently, and, as a result of strict ECB and Government guidelines, we consider it impossible to open the bar at this time. We are reviewing this on a weekly basis and would hope to re-open the bar for the Friday after the next relaxation of rules. Of course, we would expect all children to be provided with their drinks in clearly labelled bottles and there is nothing to prevent the accompanying adult from bringing their own refreshments but we would request you ensure you remove any litter.
Practice will start this Friday at 6.30pm until 8pm and we would request that all attendees arrive no later than 10 minutes before the start to allow for social distancing briefing and group allocations. We will find it very difficult to accommodate latecomers due to the rules we need to implement.
Just a reminder that for those wishing to purchase new club kit, Fenton Sports will be attending our club house to take orders on Friday April 30th.
We appreciate that this is not the most welcome of news, however, we are in difficult times but hopefully we will move quickly to some semblance of normality as restrictions ease.
